Bishop's Hat Folding

Start with the Napkin folded in half. Fold one corner down and the other up. Turn the napkin over and fold the upper edge down over the bottom edge. Release the covered corner and fold it down. Fold in the right side, cover it, and turn the napkin over. Tuck in the other corner and spread the sides to make the hat.

How to fold the Bishop's Hat

Ease of Folding: The Bishop's Hat is not easy to fold and takes some time. However, once folded it can be stored flat and quickly opened up when laying a table.

Fabric: Moderately stiff napkin fabric is required so that the final folded napkin can stand up without collapsing.

Precision: It is worth folding fairly accurately so that the peaked corners are together.
